You may notice some changes to our website over the next few months. We’re in the process of an exciting rebuild, so please bear with us.

We’re delighted to present you with our first ever promotional short film. We hope this will give you a real feel for how your support transforms young lives.

NEW FOR 2019!!!
‘The Next Step’ – youth homeless accommodation project

We are currently working on a new youth homeless supported accommodation project called ‘The Next Step’ . This project will provide a safe home for up to 20 young people per year who are experiencing homelessness. In addition we will offer support around health, skills, employment and resettlement.

We have raised more than 80% of the £1m needed to set up the “The Next Step” and now we need YOUR help to make this project a reality and enable vulnerable young people to rebuild their lives.

If you would like to be part of this exciting project there are 3 easy ways you can get involved right now:

a) make a pledge towards our crowdfunding campaign here (it only takes a minute)

b) register for our Winter Sponsored walk in Wendover on 6th Jan here

c) become a corporate supporter. See our packages here

Through ‘The Next Step’ project, Youth Concern will provide:

  • A 10-bed youth homeless supported accommodation scheme
  • 1:1 support packages, counselling & business mentoring
  • Support to make a smooth transition to independent living

We are delighted that one of our current local funders, the Thomas Hickman Charity, is in the process of purchasing a beautiful premises for us to run the project from. We will convert the building into a 10-bed home, under the lead of an organisation called COSPA/ViY. As an added benefit some of our young people will be involved in the conversion work, earning qualifications and gaining valuable employment skills!

We are so grateful for the positive response we have had from local people, organisations and businesses who have already pledged their support. With your help, we know that we can make this vital project a reality for homeless young people in Aylesbury.
