How will the money you raise help?
We are aiming to raise 5K to help set up our new youth homeless accommodation project called The Next Step because we are on a mission to ensure that every young person in Aylesbury Vale has a safe place to call home.
Since 1979 Youth Concern has been providing holistic support services for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in Aylesbury Vale aged 13-25 years old. One of our core services is Aylesbury Nightstop, an emergency host accommodation scheme for young people facing a homelessness crisis. Over the past year we have supported 83 young people through Nightstop. At Youth Concern we believe that every young person needs a safe home but unfortunately this is not the case in our local community and we need to do more.
Proposed Solution-The Next Step
Youth Concern is setting up a flagship youth supported accommodation and employment pathways project called “The Next Step”. This 10-bed project will provide up to 20 young people with a safe home for up to a year. Bespoke one-to-one support packages will be provided focussing on health, skills, employment and resettlement, to enable a smooth transition to independent living
We are delighted to have raised more than 800K towards this ambitious new project and now we need your help to secure the final £160k to launch this life-changing project.
How your support will help the project
£500 = a room + support for 1 young person for 1 week
£2K = a room + support for 1 young person for 1 month
£5K = a room + support for 1 young person for 10 weeks
